Alma’s power currently occurs at random and can come as surprise to her and those within 3 feet of her. That’s because when this power activates it adds 20 extra pounds of gravitational pressure on and around her, often making for spontaneous falls. Thankfully, the gravitational pressure lasts for about five minutes before the power deactivates.

Sociable, passionate, excitable and a little quirky, it’s rare to find Alma in a bad mood. Adventurous and curious about the new world that’s opened up to her, she enjoys trying to figure out who people are, where they’ve come from and what they can do and, sometimes, pushing their buttons. She thrives for extending her limits, trying out new things and seeing new places especially if they have anything to do with the dark or mysterious (she lives for a good thrill).
Prone to becoming attached to the people she gets to know, many may be submitted to her affection, playfulness, teasing and flirtation. Alma holds grudges if her trust in someone is broken, and has trouble keeping her nose out of friend’s business if something is bothering them. This can be a problem, as the girl might feel compelled to protect others if they’re not standing up for themselves, thus exposing a temper. Luckily, she’s cool as a cucumber most of the time with over-confidence and stubbornness that causes her to over-exert herself at times.

Alma’s the second child to a Puerto Rican mother and Dominican father. Although born in the United States, much of her early life had been living between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico with her grandparents while her parents pursued their careers in the United States.
At 6, she moved to New York where she underwent treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia. During this stay in the hospital she would meet fellow future white nova, Jade (:devshadowsandlight) where the two would become friends despite a language barrier.

After being declared in remission at 8, she moved back to the islands. Unfortunately she had to undergo more treatment when she was 10 this time in Puerto Rico.

Declared in remission since she’s been 12, Lucy’s made it a point to try and make up for the things she’s missed out on over the years and not dwell on the past. Since then she’s taken up Latin Ballroom dancing and rugby as well as having had shown interest in attending aviation school when she graduated high school. That plan of aviation school may have changed with her admittance into what her parents like to dub as “space camp”. Overall, while Alma feels homesick and misses her friends, family and island homes a lot, she’s also eager for whatever adventures her new school will bring her.
