Wendy doesn't consider herself as having a mother since hers left the family to run away with some rodeo star. She's never really been able to forgive her mother for that. Instead, she would show Middy this old Polaroid picture she carries on herself of her and her father.

I'm glad I drew Herod finally since I wanted to use him for another mission. Also Rosebud, South Dakota is where Wendy's from. So that's what's behind the reference. <|D I couldn't help but make her father's name Big Crow because I just really like symbolism. I figured her mother gave Wendy her maiden name because she always found hers to be better than Herod's and thought that someday Wendy would want to leave the Res. By saving her from a name like Big Crow she probably thought she was "saving" Wendy from ridicule.

Spelling of February done on purpose her father really had a hard time spelling. This was going to be a comic, but I wasn't feeling it and I needed something to do because tomorrow my classes are going to suck. So a happy family picture was in the order.
