First power: Vitakinesis


By singing a song to Apollo, Wendy is able to either heal or infect a being. In order for her power to take effect, she has to have her target in view. At its maxed state, the song she sings doesn't matter as long as she knows what she intends to do to someone. She still tends to prefer her original Greek song though. When healing and infecting Wendy usually imagines an arrow being pushed into or pulled out of the being she is using her powers on. When healing and infecting Wendy usually imagines an arrow being pushed into (for infecting) or pulled out of (for healing) the being she is using her powers on. At times, this image may just be darkness being pulled or seeping into a being, at other times this may be the image of a blackbird (for healing) flying out of a wound or a white bird (for infection) flying into a wound. For concentration purposes, she tends to place her hands near the wound or in the direction of the particular being she’s healing. In her healing and infecting process, a dim white light aura surrounds both parties and acts as a connection between them.

She is only able to heal one person at a time and depending on the size of wound, and how much healing she intends to do she can only heal about 15-20 people every hour. If her power is pushed, she becomes exhausted and is prone to dizziness or fainting. In extreme cases, when she has already been hungry, wounded or exhausted and uses her power she may lose consciousness for a few hours or become ill.

Wendy is now able to heal internal wounds, potentially fatal wounds, burns, poisoning, and broken bones. She will never be able to bring someone back to life once they’re dead and she will never be able to kill someone with her powers alone.

Wendy is able to heal any type of puncture, laceration, or incision made on a being’s body. Although able to heal serious wounds that result from amputation she is not able to replace the severed limb. In the treatment of burn wounds she is able to heal up to 4th degree wounds; however, she has a harder time healing burns created by Greek fire and the healing of these burns takes several applications of her power. She is also able to heal bruising and help begin the healing of broken bones; however, for broken bones treatment has to be given a couple of times for full healing to occur. She is also able to help treat and lessen the effects of poison even if it may have been digested; this takes a longer process as there is no wound she can physically see. Along with the healing comes an extra boost of energy for the healed although she will not give this extra boost to someone who she believes should sit out of going back into battle.

Infection wise she is able to start an infection in any exposed wound or internal wounds. The infection can result in a being’s body temperature becoming higher or lower than normal, low blood pressure, a faster heart beat, increased blood loss, discharged pus, increased swelling that result in redness, pain, and a warmness when touched. She can also create and speed up necrosis although this type of infection takes the most out of her and should poison be injected into a being she is able to speed up the process. All of the infections may be treatable and it is only if they are untreated that they can be fatal.

In addition, Wendy’s aim is affected as she is able to sense and target arterial pressure points on humans.

Second Power: I Can See the Light…

Wendy is able to produce her own light source; however, it is by no means as strong as it is during daylight hours or when she has a light source provided. The ability to produce her own light source is uncomfortable. It’s only for a quick second, but during this process she feels heat that radiates from her stomach that rises up into her esophagus, to the back of her throat, and then causes a momentary fever. It causes no harm besides the sensations that she’s about to faint or throw up and only for a quick moment before vanishing. She tends to prefer to manipulate other light sources because of this.


During the day, light is usually manipulated using the sun’s rays as it is the easiest and most powerful source. During the night, if she wants a sufficient light source, she may use the light of a small key chain flashlight collection she carries on her. The primary method of manipulating power is through hand motions as it allows for better concentration to where she wants to send the light. However, she does not have to use hand movements to control it.


The light source usually takes the shape of a floating ball of light, but can also take the forms of smaller objects and shapes. It may range in the size of a firefly to Wendy’s height of 5’5”. The source can be used to illuminate a dark place, bring warmth, or blind enemies for an easy get away. When touched the light source it feels extremely hot and can cause pain. If touched for too long it often leaves a painful mark, similar to a really bad sunburn. Wendy is able to control the amount of heat the light source may give off without sacrificing the brightness of the light. The light is not easy to extinguish, but can be weakened, in intensity and heat, when something is thrown into it, a strong gust of wind or rain touch it, or Wendy’s concentration is broken. At max concentration, the light can appear for about 2 minutes before vanishing. Wendy is able to summon 25 in a row with a 15 minute rest period.


In addition, the use of this power also affects Wendy. Her body becomes warmer when she produces light. Her body, especially her hands, become warmer and can radiate extreme amounts of heat causing her grip to be harmful. The further away from her body the light is, the less warmth she feels. The light can move up to 60 feet away; however, the further away the light is the colder she feels. Should Wendy attempt to break the limit of this power she can become teeth chattering cold. Wendy describes this power as the light being an extension of her body’s heat or warmth and the further it is away from her is similar to how planets further away from the sun are colder.

Personality: Wendy’s rather outspoken, with a rather “put up or shut up” piece of mind when it comes to other people’s hardships and it can often seem like she might not care about them. She’s not the most organized person sometimes losing things or forgetting about something. Wendy, still has a bit of a rebellious streak, may be a little rough around the edges but she is also a passionate person and affectionate though shortly after she is prone to giving a sarcastic comment or a playful insult.

Flaw: Wendy has no real sense of self-preservation and can be reckless. She likes finishing things and finishing things quickly and may take the quickest route to doing so. She also has some essence of devil-may-care in her where she finds herself wanting to help people if she sees that they may need it or if they’re close enough to her even if they may have hurt her in the past.

Background: Wendy’s lived in South Dakota most of her life on a Sioux reservation. As for specific details, if asked she usually says “I’ve made many mistakes… and if I could tell you the list will be rolling out the door way.” So here’s the short story:
Wendy’s mother ran off with a rodeo star when she was 3 and left her in the care of her father who although taking his wife leaving hard, raised the girl and her older brother Thomas by himself. From a young age Wendy had been found to have a talent for singing, stringed instruments, and playing darts. To raise money for the family, who were very poor, her father often had her sing for money during fairs, in bars, and anytime she could. She didn’t mind thinking it was the least she could do for the family.
To her father’s disappointment, after difficult with school and a lack of interest and passion Wendy dropped out of school the moment she was of age. This was around the same time her brother became involved with one of the reservation’s gangs and nothing seemed to stop her from moving with him. She picked up some bad habits while at her brother’s home, one of the major ones were drinking. One day, she met her mother at one of the local bars and her mother thought it was the perfect time to tell Wendy of her origins. Wendy didn’t believe her.
It wasn’t until strange things began to happen that she gave it much thought and after realizing that she wasn’t drunk she began to pay more attention. It wasn’t too long before she realized that monsters were following her.
Her brother believed her to be crazy and her father, long seemed forgotten, wouldn’t be told about this until a few months later. It was in a fight with her father that he told her he wasn’t her real father. It wasn’t soon then after that she had a falling out with her brother and went back to live with her father; however, the monsters seemed to be appearing more frequently.
Wendy finally decided that it would be safer if she left and made a plan to travel and make money in gambling darts, pool, and singing. It wasn’t soon after that she found herself at the camp and sick of living in her car, she accepted it.

Other Info:
-She isn’t all that smart because a lack of education that is both her fault for dropping out and the fault of the quality that has been offered to her.

-After her estranged relationship with her brother she’s really hesitant about putting her full trust in people. She doesn’t really like speaking about what happened between them. Despite this if he ever asked for her help she’d probably take a moment to think about it before deciding to help him.

-Collects encased bugs. One of her favourite necklaces is a bee encased in tiger’s eye.

-Had never been in a big city other than South Dakota’s capital of Pierre and since a lot of big cities are bigger than Pierre she kind of spazzes in amazement when she’s in the city.

-Likes playing flute, stringed instruments, drums, basket weaving, and pottery painting.

-She is prone to some jealousy when it comes to other’s sibling relationships.

-Really regrets the condition in which she left the relationship with her father in. Has written several letters to him but hasn’t attempted to send any.

-Still has a kind of nasty relationship with alcohol. If she manages to get her hands on it, she’ll drink it all and then pass out later.

-The scars are mostly scars from falling when drunk. The elbow ones were probably the ones that took the most time to heal when she tumbled down a stone road. This has happened more than once.

-She can get excited over things that might seem silly, such as a car that doesn’t have the seats duck taped and has an actual floor or a house that is big, neat, and isn’t full of clutter. That said she’s extremely overwhelmed by how the Apollo cabin shines like gold and has been known to dazzle at it no matter how many times she goes in it.

-She also wears bandannas on her person, but mostly tied to her wrist. The symbolism comes from a story her father had told her; however, she rarely talks about it in refusal of sounding kind of pathetic.

-Although she's not prone to violence, as much as she's prone to play fighting, there's no telling what she'd do when she's drunk. She can be very physical with someone... which goes back to the scar over her left eyebrow when she smashed her face into a mirror. <8;;

-Can't swim well. So she tends to avoid water.

-Surprising, though being rather rough around the edges when it comes to manners, she had once worked in a restaurant and learned some forms of hospitality. She just doesn't seem to utilize them. Another job consisted of working on a nearby farm with cows, pigs, and sheep.

-Likes comfortable clothing, thus why her shirt is baggy and is tied at the waist and her pants baggy. She actually is a little self conscious over her bust size.
